Bacterial Enteritis- Commonly breaking during the transition from brood to finisher, bacterial enteritis wreaks havoc on the birds’ immune systems and causes a drop in performance and livability. FURST PROTECT DIRECT™ enhances the innate immune systems, and helps support the birds through challenges such as Enteritis.
Viral Infections- Viral infections are common in turkey production and even worse when followed by secondary infections. FURST PROTECT DIRECT™ can strengthen the birds’ immune system to help fight viral infections and lessen the negative effects of secondary infections through keeping the birds on water and feed.
Antibiotic resistant bacteria- A healthy immune system can combat issues such as antibiotic resistant bacteria, giving the birds resources they need to protect themselves from the inside out.
Removal of AGP- The poultry industry’s movement toward antibiotic-free production and the removal of subtherapeutic antibiotic growth promoters has made it easier for enteric diseases to affect intestinal health. Heat events- Large temperature changes, especially extreme heat events, will take birds off feed and water. Producers can keep their flocks on water and feed during extreme heat events by running FURST PROTECT DIRECT™ 2-3 days pre and post event.
Market Withdrawal- If a stress or disease event occurs close to harvest, FURST PROTECT DIRECT™ is a solution with no market withdrawal.
