Finishing pigs consume large amounts of feed and represent a large proportion of the overall cost of producing a pig for market. Uniformity in weight at market time is dependent on a constant and sufficient supply of key nutrients.

Certain situations can lead to increased nutritional requirements:

  • On movement from a nursery to a finisher
  • During times of extended double stocking or mixing of new groups of pigs
  • During times of health challenges e.g. Pork Information Gateway
  • During times of heat stress e.g. Mayorga et al. 2019

Early Finishing

Use 4-10 pounds of FURST PROTECT™ per ton of complete feed
